COVID-19 and Summer 2020 update:
Hello, we hope everyone is in good health and safe.
As a community and all around the world, we all have been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic and our daily lives have been greatly interrupted and changed. At Carmel Sports Club we have been closely monitoring the daily briefings and it looks like there is light at the end of the tunnel.
As NYS begins to re-open we want to touch base regarding summer programs and how we are planning on re-opening and keeping your child safe. Governor Andrew Cuomo had recently announced that summer day camps can re-open beginning June 29th. We are hopeful and excited as we proceed to get camp ready. This year, summer camps will look very different due to the Covid-19 guidelines. Roster size is limited to a group of 10 and social distance protocols will be followed. Recommended CDC and DOH cleaning procedures are in place to ensure the well-being of our staff, campers and parents.
Our number 1 priority is for to ensure the confidence, health and safety is being met. Safety guidelines and proper cleaning protocols are being followed.
We have been cleaning the facility with EPA approved products that are certified to kill the human coronavirus 1. Soap and water
2. Clorox disinfectant 3. BioCide 100 a disinfectant germicide and 4. Using a High temperature pressure heat steamer that
uses 226 degree Fahrenheit temperature that kills virus and bacteria on surfaces. Sanitizing and cleaning will continue throughout the day when camp is in session.
All Staff are required to wear mask, however CHILDREN/CAMPERS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO WEAR A MASK. We will continue to follow social distancing. In order to limit the number of people entering our facility, parents will not be permitted but rather a drop off and pick up procedure will be in place. Part of that daily procedure would be temperatures taken, hand sanitizing, disinfectant of any incoming equipment such as balls and sneakers, and a daily contact tracer log in place. We will ask parents to be patient during drop off as we conduct the check in process. NYS mandated a 10 person limit per grouping. Each group will remain within their own group and stay with their coach throughout. Walk-Ins will not be permitted to prevent increase risk of exposure. Regular hand washing will be enforced and hand sanitizer stations are in place throughout the facility. All programs are shorten and sessions are offered in the morning or afternoon. Lunch break will not be provided, but water and healthy snack break will.
Our summer programs are posted on the website and registration is open. Programs being offered are All-Sport Camp, Basketball, Field Hockey, Lacrosse Girls, Coed Flag Football, Soccer, Volleyball and Dance Activity camp. You may print out the registration form online at www.carmelsportsclub.com. If you are registering for All-Sport or Explore Dance Activity Camp please submit your child’s latest annual physical health form. All participants must have a Liability Waiver signed and on file in order to play. In order to speed up the daily check in process, all required forms must be submitted prior to your first day of camp.
Due to the reduced roster limitation , groups will be capped at 10 . We encourage you register as programs will close out quickly. FULL PAYMENT must be submitted in order to secure your spot. Once payment is received, you will receive a email confirmation.
